Energy Management and Building Controls Specialist Autani, LLC Joins EnOcean Alliance

/ Press Releases

Columbia, MD

Autani, LLC, a proven leader in building controls, has become a member of the EnOcean Alliance. Autani incorporates a variety of EnOcean-based lighting and HVAC-focused devices into their EnergyCenter building control system, an energy management platform that combines lighting, HVAC, metering, refrigeration, and sensor applications into a single, integrated system.

A complement to Autani’s wireless product offering, EnOcean-enabled sensors and controls provide further wireless capabilities and add the benefit of being self-powered. Subsequently, there are no wires to run or batteries to replace, reducing installation time and the need for on-going maintenance. The EnOcean energy harvesting wireless standard is an effective means for Autani to further its ability to provide easy-to-use tools for reducing and optimizing energy use.

“Incorporating EnOcean wireless devices into Autani’s EnergyCenter system is an ideal pairing,” said Randy Clayton, President & Chief Technology Officer for Autani. “We are able to provide customers with even greater flexibility, convenience, and savings when installing their energy management systems, and the range of devices available from Alliance members dramatically expands our ability to address customer needs.”

“We are proud and excited to welcome Autani as a new member of the EnOcean Alliance. As one of the leading providers of energy management and building controls, integrating the EnOcean wireless standard is a significant market signal. Our ecosystem will benefit greatly from the addition of Autani to help accelerate the adoption of sustainable building automation to create more energy-efficient, flexible, and low-cost smart buildings,” says Graham Martin, Chairman of the EnOcean Alliance.

About the EnOcean Alliance

Leading companies worldwide from the building sector collected to form the EnOcean Alliance and establish innovative automation solutions for sustainable building projects – and so to make buildings more energy-efficient, more flexible and lower in cost. The core technology of the Alliance is energy harvesting wireless technology for flexibly positioned and service-free sensor solutions. The EnOcean Alliance aims to internationalise the energy harvesting wireless technology, and is dedicated to creating interoperability between the products of OEM partners. Basis for this is the international standard ISO/IEC 14543-3-1X, which is optimised for wireless solutions with ultra-low power consumption and energy harvesting. Nearly 400 companies currently belong to the EnOcean Alliance. The headquarters of the non-profit organisation is located in San Ramon, California.
