The first engineering service provider in the international business association

San Ramon, CA, USA – March 5th, 2019 – LAE Engineering is the first engineering service provider to join the EnOcean Alliance. The EnOcean wireless standard is the perfect fit with the company’s philosophy of integrally planning and economically implementing customer projects. With this new member, the EnOcean Alliance adds to its internal knowledge pool.

Based in Wiesloch, Germany, LAE Engineering has long relied on self-powered wireless switches, sensors, actuators and controllers as well as gateways and automation systems based on the EnOcean wireless standard in implementing its projects. In addition to zero maintenance, interoperability is an enormous plus point for LAE. Automation solutions can thus be implemented independently of manufacturers, across disciplines and, above all, flexibly.

Clear endorsement of the EnOcean standard

Frank Lettmann, head of the Electrical Planning Business Unit at LAE

Frank Lettmann, head of Electrical Planning at LAE, explains, « As a member of the EnOcean Alliance, we have direct access to in-depth knowledge and a reliable network of manufacturers. This gives us added value that we are happy to pass on to our customers. At the same time, we can further develop the standard from the field. The EnOcean standard combines tried-and-tested wireless technologies with the sustainable principle of self-powered sensors and switches. This allows us to plan flexible buildings for customers, which can be modified later on during use. As part of the large and innovative EnOcean family, we can now offer this market-leading solution to our customers. »

Graham Martin, Chairman and CEO of the EnOcean Alliance, adds, « We are delighted that LAE Engineering is now a member of the EnOcean Alliance. As the first engineering service provider in our international business association, LAE contributes extensive experience and additional knowledge in the planning and implementation of complex engineering projects. We can systematically further develop the EnOcean wireless standard on this basis. »

The EnOcean Alliance, which has more than 400 members worldwide, is one of the most successful alliances in the area of smart building control. The non-profit organization standardizes and develops smart building solutions with integrated self-powered, energy harvesting technology.
