The dry-contact transmitter is designed to detect changes in the status of all equipment with a potential-free, normally open (preferred) or normally closed dry-contact output.
It enables connection to the EnOcean protocol of all products with On/Off (ON/OFF) status reporting, where it is neither desirable nor possible to connect them by wire.
The sensor is fitted with a crimp connector (insulation displacement) that can be disconnected. The sensor is powered by a solar cell, making it maintenance-free. As soon as the dry contact changes state (open to closed or vice versa), a radio message is sent immediately. In addition, a message is sent back approximately every 15 minutes.
Self-sufficient, the necessary energy is generated by a solar cell that operates maintenance-free. An internal charger stores the energy, ensuring full operation even after several days of total darkness.
The 10020083 sensor’s built-in assistance system enables it to operate even in areas where light levels are too low to be recharged by the solar panel. When the sensor’s energy reservoir is insufficient to operate it, then the assistance takes over until the solar sensor is sufficiently lit again.
