At this year’s NFMT Conference at the Baltimore Convention Center, March 13-15, EnOcean Alliance and The S4 Group will collectively showcase the benefits of EnOcean-enabled technology for reducing energy consumption in commercial buildings. They will be exhibiting in booth 2551 at the Green Tech Pavilion.

The EnOcean Alliance is a consortium of over 250 leading companies working to establish and promote innovative automation solutions for sustainable buildings. The core technology of the Alliance is the energy harvesting, wireless technology for flexibly positioned and service free sensor solutions.

The S4 Group, Inc. will be demonstrating several S4 Open Appliances at the NFMT show, including the S4 Open: BACnet-EnOcean Gateway, a new product that provides interoperability between EnOcean networks and BACnet enterprise environments. S4 will also be demonstrating their flagship product, the S4 Open: BACnet-N2 Router, which integrates legacy Metasys building automation systems into BACnet.

Presentation

At NFMT Cory Vanderpool, Director of EnOcean Alliance in North America, will present “Energy Harvesting Building Technologies & Incentives for Commercial Buildings” from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. on March 13 in Room 349. Her presentation will focus on how energy harvesting building technologies may represent cost effective solutions for retrofits and new construction, including incentives that can help building owners cover the costs related to their implementation. The presentation also identifies the importance of building sustainability and provides information about existing state and federal incentives.
