Ottawa, Canada – October 18, 2012

The Continental Automated Buildings Association is pleased to have recently become a participant member of the EnOcean Alliance. With this step, the two organizations have also signed a memorandum of understanding. The objective of the agreement is to share information and work in a collaborative manner on intelligent building and connected home technologies issues to further the development of the market throughout the world.

The EnOcean Alliance is dedicated to energy harvesting wireless automation solutions for sustainable buildings. Its more than 300 members integrate the innovative EnOcean technology in their products and systems to make buildings more energy-efficient, more flexible and lower in cost.

CABA is an international trade organization dedicated to advancing technology and integrated systems in home and buildings, along with creating opportunities for its members' business activities and serving as a preferred global source of information, knowledge and networking for key industry stakeholders.

As part of the agreement, CABA will establish collaborative activities with the Alliance to engage a broad array of stakeholders including the utility industry, regulatory agencies, energy, building automation, telecommunications, controls and information technology vendors, technology companies, consumer groups, government and nongovernmental organizations.
