Alliance Comprised of Leading International Companies to Create Wireless Monitoring and Control Products for Sustainable Buildings

Masco Corporation, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of brand-name consumer products for the home improvement and new home construction market, today announces its partnership with the EnOcean Alliance, a consortium of innovative international corporations with a mission to standardize wireless control systems for sustainable buildings. The partnership aligns EnOcean’s energy harvesting wireless control technology with patented technologies developed by Masco in support of green building, and delivers forward-looking products to customers. Masco will be launching the first of these products under the Verve Living Systems™ brand next month.

The new technology adds unmatched flexibility with lower investment and operational costs for sustainable buildings.

Masco will preview the company’s new product category based on the use of energy harvesting and radio frequency controls at Lightfair International 2008, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. The official product launch will unveil in late June 2008 at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco.
