Hello,
as the saving benefits seem to be quite a lot I thought about retrofitting my home using EnOcean technology.
My question is as follows: aren't all the sensors and switches and receivers and the whole remote thing quite expensive?

Hey there
Well it's not as expensive as you think it is. Sure you need sensors and switches and receivers, but for sensors and switches you don't need any wiring.
Switches and sensors don't have to be wired to the things they should control, so basically all you need to wire is the lights, or whatever you want to use, and the receiver, nothing else.
So you actually save money, keeping in mind that installing copper wiring in your house is a lot more work and more, expensive, material.
Additionally you can reduce your energy costs, which saves you money.

Okay.
So installing isn't expensive?
And what about the maintenance of everything?

No installing is not really expensive, not more than your normal home installation.
Well basically all the products are maintenance free, so there are no maintenance costs.

Plus you need no batteries to operate the switches and sensors so you save the money for that and it's better for the environment.
